Any experiment concerning the effects of electromagnetic fields on biological materials needs to be accompanied by a numerical analysis of the dosimetry. Opposite to the case of the design of devices for communications, this dosimetry analysis tries to establish the detailed values of the fields, including the value and position of its maxima, which implies some problems for the simulation packages. This communication considers one of these problems: the existence of field singularities associated to the model used for the experiment. Some typical situations are considered, and used to make recommendations to avoid the associated problems when planning the irradiation set-ups. | |
