The program gives answer to academic, scientific and professional demands of postgraduate training that combines the productive, environmental, socio -economic and agricultural sector.

The main objective is to train researchers in management and development of technologies for sustainable agricultural systems and recovery of degraded areas, strengthening their technical and research skills.

The program has an experienced staff of teachers in the areas of agricultural production, environment and agricultural economy. This complex system requires multidisciplinary training, based on experimentation and strong background, in teamwork and in the problem solving approach according to the scientific method.

The entire program is designed to support four major lines: plant production, animal production, environmental technology and agricultural economics and natural resources. Each line will keep its specific character and in turn the program will enable the interaction between them enhancing multidisciplinary training and knowledge sharing.

The staff includes renowned researchers in these disciplines from several departments of the School of Agricultural Engineers (ETSIA) and from national research centers. This program has a clear international projection, with a high number of foreign students, and significant involvement of faculty and students in exchange and cooperation with centers of international prestige
