The Sustainable Organisations Research Group ¿SORG¿ brings 15 professors and researchers together who have been working in association since 2007. As a whole, we have experience in highly diverse fields which complement and enrich our lines of action. A large part of the team also belong to the Centre for Innovation in Technology for Human Development (itd-UPM).

The aim of the SORG is to contribute to researching, development, implementing and disseminating the concept and practice of Sustainable Organisation, which is understood to be the alignment of social, economic and environmental value and ethical governance in the activity of organisations. This includes, as basic dimensions, people, organisations, value chains and sectors. In line with the 17 Sustainable Development Objectives (SDO).
The values inspiring and guiding the SORG are: h umanism, systemic vision, s ustainability, i nterdisciplinarity, i nnovation and ethical integrity.

Our projects are structured around the following lines of research:
New social paradigm : Organisational alignment with SDO, Digital society, Interorganisational network and alliance analysis, Social value and environmentally sustainable Networks and ecosystems, Inequality and new social contract, Complexity.
Sustainability strategy: Social responsibility strategy, Ethics and social impact, Diversity (focus on women and engineering)
Organisational innovation: streamlining and humanism. Teal principles, social enterprise, Triple baseline and fourth sector.
