| Objectives |
- To understand the nature, methods and purposes of the different fields of mathematics and computer science, and recognise the presence of the underlying mathematics in Nature, Science, and Technology.
- To learn about and understand the growing need to use computer techniques and tools for the development and application of mathematics and be familiar with their use.
- To learn about and have in-depth understanding of the mathematical foundations of computer science, and to contribute to their development and application in the numerous disciplines to which they apply using the principles and methodologies essential to mathematics.
- To have available a wide range of knowledge and mathematical and computer techniques which, in combination, enable students to model and find solutions to problems in numerous fields of science, technology and business.
