Equipment for analysing the integrity and quality of nucleic acids
Laboratorio de Biología de Sistemas y Modelización (SysBioM-CBGP)
It analyses the integrity and quality of nucleic acids ¿ specifically deoxyribonucleic acids (DNA) from biological samples or synthesised by PCR or other techniques associated with next-generation sequencing (NGS); ribonucleic acids (RNA) from biological samples, and deoxyribonucleic acids synthesised in vitro from ribonucleic acid (cDNA) ¿ using automated high-throughput electrophoresis.
It is currently used by CBPG research groups. The equipment has a large number of nucleic acid molecular biology applications, such as analysing the integrity/degradation of a nucleic acid sample (and/or its quality), producing an electropherogram of such a sample, or determining its quantity or concentration.
It determines the quality of DNA and RNA by means of automatic electrophoresis, for use in next-generation sequencing.
