Advanced Geomatics Applications

The Advanced Geomatics Applications Research Group at UPM has developed projects in various key areas. Notably, it has worked on 3D modeling for cultural heritage and reverse engineering, applying geomatic technologies for conservation and restoration. The group has also conducted terrain movement studies using DInSAR remote sensing, enabling high-precision displacement monitoring.

Another important research line is life cycle assessment and carbon footprint evaluation, integrating environmental analysis into engineering projects to promote sustainability. Additionally, the group is involved in educational innovation, incorporating geomatics into teaching and collaborating with Latin American universities. These projects highlight the group's ability to apply geomatic tools in heritage conservation, environmental management, and academic training.
