Miniaturised system for monitoring microbial growth

This is a turbidity reader capable of measuring optical density at various wavelengths. It allows us to evaluate the growth of microorganisms over time by creating up to 200 very sensitive and complete growth curves. The temperature can be adjusted, as well as the type and frequency of the agitation. It also allows micro-aerobic conditions to be recreated, if required.
It is used to evaluate growth in free-living bacteria and fungi under different conditions.
This apparatus considerably reduces the use of materials and time, since, previously, it was done manually, using 25 times more culture medium and compounds. It also allows more samples to be assessed at the same time, something which is almost unfeasible without it.
