Biomedical imaging technology

Some of our most significant results are the proposal and validation of techniques helping early diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases, in collaboration with the G. Marañón Hospital and the company Siemens-Acuson; systems for planning and dosage of intraoperative radiotherapy (with the company GMV and the G. Marañón Hospital, amongst others); a system to determine the epileptic focus in image-guided surgery (with the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and transferred to the company QuBioTech), and machine learning systems for glaucoma screening based on OCT images (collaboration with Parc de Salut Mar and Radboud University Medical Center). We have also developed machine learning algorithms for tissue and vascular profiling in pulmonary diseases (collaboration with Brigham and Women's Hospital - Harvard Medical School). Finally, new MRI-based methods have been developed to analyze the maturing of the foetus' brain during pregnancy (collaboration with King's College London).
