This is a world-class master’s program that will prepare the future digital transformation leaders for AI in the public sector. It focuses on the planning, design and usage of Artificial Intelligence in public service delivery,so as toimprove the provision, effectiveness and value of public services and public sector’s capacity throughout European society by means of an adequate management, knowledge and development of AI-related projects and services.

Sessions will be regularly held online (via zoom) during the master, on two main slots in the evening, on Tuesdays and Fridays (17:00-20:00 Central European Time), plus some occasional Saturday mornings (no more than one a month). As we are conscious of the importance of conciliating family and student life, not all slots will be covered during the year. We also expect to have two gatherings in Madrid (around October) and Milano (around May/June), with the objective of letting students know each other and perform team-building exercises, as well as knowing some of the AI4Gov alumni; and for further discussions with experts and for the graduation ceremony of the previous cohort.

To earn a Master in Artificial Intelligence for Public Services, you must successfully complete 4 courses, 4 project-based group activities and a Master thesis (60 ECTS total), including:

• Foundational Course 2. "Service Design for Human-Centric AI" 
• Foundational Course 3. "AI and Ethics" 
• Project 1. "AI for public procurement"  
• Project 2. "Designing AI-based services and interactions" 
• Project 3. "AI for active listening and citizen participation" 
• Project 4. "AI for improved data and knowledge governance" 
• Master thesis
